Hi All, read Ashley’s great review of the iPhone 4S.

Hi, my name is Ashley Hook and I was one of the lucky people to be chosen to test the IPhone 4S! I was so excited that when it arrived within 3-4 days after being notified, I was eager to try it straight away. Unfortunately, I hadn’t realised that it wouldn’t take my standard sim and had to send off for a micro sim which was disappointing.

Luckily, that arrived within a few days and I was raring to go! It didn’t take long to set-up and I was soon getting carried away downloading apps! lol I first set it up to get free internet at home via wi-fi and uploaded all my contacts etc and played with the tones before getting to know exactly what it could do. Taking pictures with an 8 mega-pixel camera is amazing.

The colour and quality are unbelievable and you can crop and auto-enhance and remove red eye to improve the picture too. On the main screen moving your most-used apps there really saves time and once you have set up your account, getting your emails sent direct to your phone and being notified makes life a whole lot easier.

Also installing a sat nav app for only £1.69 was a god-send! You can also use Siri which is on the phone which can write emails, send texts, call people and so much more – it’s like having a personal assistant with you! Once charged the battery lasts much longer than a standard phone and is also quicker to charge.

Connecting to the internet is also a lot quicker and browsing pages takes seconds. You can use your IPhone to multi-task setting yourself reminders and even whilst in the middle of texting you can use other apps to upload pics on to the text. All in all it is so much more advanced than any other phone I have used and after trying it for just a week I don’t want to be without it and am always finding other hidden gems on it.

For someone who isn’t that particularly technically minded even I could fathom and manoeuvre my way round. Though one tip, don’t go searching the house looking for a pin like me and actually look at the inside of the booklet that comes with it as the device is slotted on there! Ooops!
